With baby at Willumsens Museum
Art, presence and peace, even when you have your baby with you
At Willumsens Museum, we believe that art experiences do not have to be put on hold just because you have become a parent. Quite the opposite. The concept “With baby at the museum” was created in a collaboration between Willumsens Museum, Museum North Zealand, Museum Helsingør og Industrial Museum Frederik's Works, and is specially designed for those of you who are on maternity leave and would like to have a cultural respite in your everyday life, without having to worry about breastfeeding, diaper changes or small noises along the way.
A safe space for both you and your baby
The museum is designed with plenty of space for strollers, quiet surroundings and flexible settings so you can move around at your own pace. Babies are welcome to babble, sleep or make noise, there is no expectation of silence here. We know what maternity life is like, and we have created an environment where you can relax and be present.
Tours with room for breaks
Our special baby-friendly tours are short, intimate and tailored to parents with young children. You will have the opportunity to delve into JF Willumsen's colorful universe, hear stories about his life and works, and experience the art in a way that provides energy and inspiration in the midst of the maternity bubble.
Art experiences for adults with babies
Although the event is adapted for babies, the content is created for you. We provide you with a cultural break where you can:
- gain new knowledge and be inspired
- meet other parents in the same life situation
- experience art in a calm and caring environment
- do something meaningful for yourself during your maternity period
Willumsens Museum is known for its strong colors, big stories and bold expressions. This makes the museum an obvious place to share an art experience. Even when life is filled with new rhythms and small hands. Here there is room for both immersion and spontaneity.
