At Willumsens Museum you can encounter an impressive collection of artworks. But what do the artworks actually want to tell us? How do they speak to us and how can we best listen? With a playful and curious approach, we explore and investigate what art has at its heart and what expressions it uses to reach us.

At Willumsens Museum we are very happy to receive visits from schools and institutions. To ensure that the visit is positive for all parties, we encourage you to talk to the students in advance about how to behave in a museum. For example, that you must be considerate of the artworks and the other museum visitors.

We must take good care of our artworks so that they can last for many years to come and be a delight to visitors – also in the future. Therefore, they must not be touched, and you may only work with pencils and crayon-like paint in the halls.

When you visit the museum on your own, we ask that teachers accompany their students around in groups. Remember that it is good practice to walk around quietly and make sure not to get too close to the individual works. And it is nice if the noise level is acceptable for everyone – including other visitors.

Willumsens Museum offers classes Tuesday – Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

All courses are free for primary schools in Frederikssund Municipality. If you are visiting us from another municipality, the prices are as follows:

Course/1 hour: 550,- kroner

Course/2 hours: 850,- kroner
